Phoenix Rising: The Next Era in IDD Health
People with IDD continue to experience healthcare disparities when compared to the neurotypical population.
Like the mythical phoenix, we must rise up and forge the next era of IDD Health.
For 2025, AADMD’s conference planning committee was inspired by the conference location – Phoenix, Arizona – and chose the theme “Rising Phoenix: A New Era in IDD Health.” We’ll explore how to create systemic change to better serve the IDD patient population through our four tracks: Inclusive Curriculum, Intersectionality, Brain & Behavioral Health and Clinical Practice.
We know people with IDD thrive when their health team works together – that’s why we bring ALL health disciplines together in One Voice for Inclusive Health.
