Institute Features

Tailored track

To kickoff the Institute, we will hold an introductory, overview session on the first day - before the AADMD One Voice Conference officially begins. Participants can follow the tailored Institute Track, which is composed of select presentations, most relevant to students and residents during the conference. We will also hold 1-hour Institute Sessions after each day to reconnect and discuss the day's content.

Educational material

To get the most out of the overall conference, participants will also receive supplementary educational material that covers important concepts of IDD healthcare. We have funding for approximately 15 copies of the pocket reference "Intellectual Disabilities at Your Fingertips," which will be given out to institute participants.

discussion groups

Participants can also take part in case-based discussion groups that build on the topics presented during the Institute Track presentations as well as career development discussion groups that focus on the career paths of different professionals and how to build a career in IDD healthcare.

There are limited scholarships for students attending The Institute.
