Student/Resident Track
AADMD’s educational & networking program for
students, residents & entry-level clinicians
at the Annual Conference.
What’s Included?
Tailored track
In preparation for the Sunday Student/Resident day, participants will be given access to the entire AADMD conference for Friday & Saturday. Be sure to follow the student/resident track - and attend those sessions that are the best match for early career IDD health professionals. On Sunday, June 8th, from 12:00pm EST to 2:15 EST, participants will network with one another and learn about the AADMD’s advocacy efforts, engage in an inter-professional case-based discussion, learn about a variety of career paths and educational opportunities and learn firsthand from experts and self-advocates.
Networking
Students and residents get to participate in a networking session with students and residents from other schools and AADMD student chapters. Participants are encouraged to collaborate and develop projects designed to serve patients with IDD at their respective schools and communities. Participants are also encouraged to use the Attendify app and social media for discussion throughout the conference and for continuous networking in the future. Please use the hashtags #aadmd2021 and #inclusivehealth on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Mentoring
As a completely virtual event - you will still have the opportunity to participate in our mentoring programs AND attend our career panel, where you can learn from the best in IDD healthcare. If you’d like to be matched with a one-to-one mentor, make sure you indicate that during registration!
